Spinal Cord Injury
Bay Pines VA Healthcare System and Lee County VA Healthcare Center offer teams that provide primary care services to veterans with spinal cord injury/disorder (SCI/D). The team consists of a designated physician, registered nurse, and clinical social worker, who work together with the veteran to address their medical and psychosocial needs.
Both teams work closely with our designated SCI/D Center, James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, in Tampa, Florida. Eligible veterans may receive primary, specialty, and extended care through our system of care, which includes care at the Tampa SCI center for new injury rehabilitation, comprehensive annual health evaluation and other specialized needs.
Please contact the Spinal Cord Injury Coordinator with inquiries or concerns at 727-398-6661 extension 14684 or toll free at 1-888-820-0230 extension 14684.
