Research and Development Service

The primary mission of Bay Pines VAHCS Research & Development (R&D) Service is to improve quality of care for Veterans through basic science, health services, and clinical research. The R&D Service has oversight of all research performed across the Bay Pines VAHCS. R&D Service is responsible for advancing R&D programs and complying with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities include assurance of the scientific quality of R&D projects, protection of human rights, laboratory safety, and welfare of subjects. R&D Service promotes knowledge dissemination and encourages employees to report their work at professional meetings; in scientific, technical, and medical publications; and to participate in professional organizations.
