Bay Pines VA Healthcare System to Host Domestic Violence Awareness Walk Oct. 30

Bay Pines, Fla. – The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (VAHCS) is bringing awareness to Intimate Partner Violence by hosting an awareness walk at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center Campus on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The goal of the event is to provide educational resources to attendees and help increase survivors’ access to support systems without fear of stigma, gender bias, or age discrimination.
The walk will start between buildings 100 and 1 and will continue around Lake Timucuan. Click here to view driving directions and a campus map.
The event is open to the public. Participants are encouraged to wear purple attire to the event which symbolizes support and advocacy of people who experience intimate partner violence.
