Bay Pines VA to Host VA2K “Walk and Roll” Event on May 16

BAY PINES, FL – The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (VAHCS) will host the eighth annual VA2K Walk and Roll event on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Timuchuan Lake located at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center campus.
The VA2K Walk and Roll event is a short two-kilometer walk (1.2 miles) which takes around 20 minutes to complete.
This event is open to employees, Veterans, and the public. In lieu of a registration fee, participants are encouraged to bring a donation to help support Veterans participating in the Homeless Veterans program. Donation items needed include: toiletries, new clothing and shoes, backpacks, sun screen, bug repellant, and rain gear.
Registration and donation tables will be set up at the Fisher House located across from Timuchuan Lake. The route will begin at Timuchuan Lake and continue along the perimeter. Click here to view a campus map.
Pre-registration for the VA2K is not required. Those interested in participating should plan to arrive at Timuchuan Lake to begin the route anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. For questions about the VA2K, please call 727-398-6661, extension 14932.
