Bay Pines VA Healthcare System to Host Medical Legal Partnership Credit Counseling Sessions

Bay Pines, Fla - The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (BPVAHCS) will host a Medical Legal Partnership (MLP) Credit Counseling Session for Veterans on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. The event will take place in the J.C. Cobb Room located on the first floor of the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center (building 100) at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Fla. 33744.

Attorneys will be made available to assist Veterans with identifying and correcting errors on their credit reports. This free service will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Veterans should bring a copy of their 2018 credit report. To request a copy of your credit report, additional identification information will be needed to include; a driver’s license or photo ID, social security number and residential address for the last two years.

The MLP program is a health and legal alliance between the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center, Stetson University Veterans Law Institute, and Bay Area Legal Services. The program is designed specifically for Veterans enrolled for care with the BPVAHCS (some exceptions may apply), who are in need of legal representation/consultation for non-criminal offenses, and who may not otherwise be able to afford legal representation.
