BAY PINES, FL — The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (VAHCS) is now offering extended appointment hours for Veterans requiring primary care, including women’s health and general mental health services, at select locations across southwest Florida.

Starting April 10, extended hours for primary care services will be available on Wednesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the following locations:

Primary care services during days of extended hours are by appointment only. Veterans who require "walk-in" services are strongly encouraged to do so during normal business hours – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. As always, Veterans who require emergency care should dial 911 or visit the closest emergency room.

"The Bay Pines VA is committed to continuously innovating the way we deliver health care to the Veterans we serve and whose service we honor," Said Dr. Dominique A. Thuriere, Chief of Staff, Bay Pines VAHCS.

"Providing extended hours at several of our locations is a great example of innovation and our commitment to delivering health care that is personalized, proactive and patient-driven," she said.
