Bay Pines VA Raises Over $214,000 For Combined Federal Campaign Charities

February 3, 2010

Employees of the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System raised $214,385 for charities as part of the annual Combined Federal Campaign.

Established in 1961, the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is an annual fund raising drive conducted by federal employees.  Each year, federal employees contribute millions of dollars through the CFC to benefit charities.  Employees give through gifts of cash and payroll deduction pledges and are able to select from hundreds of local, national, and international approved CFC charitable agencies to receive their gift.

Bay Pines VA was one of the top fundraising federal agencies in the Tampa Bay area (second only to SOCOM) showing their support for charitable giving even in a troubled economy.  Bay Pines has participated annually in the CFC and last year raised $205,216.
