Bay Pines VA Healthcare System and Fort Myers VA Outpatient Clinic offer teams that provide primary care services to Spinal Cord Injured/Spinal Cord Disordered (SCI/D) veterans. Team members include a designated physician, registered nurse, and clinical social worker to address the medical and psychosocial needs of our paralyzed veterans. Both of these teams work closely with our designated SCI Center, James A. Haley VAMC in Tampa, Florida. Eligible SCI/D patients may receive primary, specialty, and extended care through our system, and are referred to Tampa for new injury rehabilitation, comprehensive annual evaluations and specialized needs.
