Geriatrics and Extended Care

Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) offers a variety of in-patient and out-patient programs for eligible veterans who are enrolled in a VA Medical Care Program.

Each veteran receiving GEC services has specific physical, social, emotional, biopsychosocial, and spiritual needs that are best met through an interdisciplinary team utilizing a holistic, restorative, or rehabilitative approach. The quality of care provided each veteran is enhanced by a comprehensive, goal-oriented, individualized plan of care. All team members respect the degree of involvement of each veteran, family member, or significant other in the plan of care.

Information about the Geriatrics and  Extended Care programs is subject to change based on federal and local policies.  Please call the office of Geriatrics and Extended Care at 727-398-6661, extension 5391 to obtain additional information.
