Bay Pines VA to open new parking garage in July (Update)

June 10, 2013

BAY PINES, FL —The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (VAHCS) will open a new 500-space parking garage to Veterans and their families in July. The new five-level garage will increase parking capacity at the medical center to about 3,000 spaces.

While the garage will primarily be designated for patient/visitor parking only, the structure is expected to alleviate overflowing lots across campus to include employee parking.

“Like all of our projects, this beautiful new structure was designed and built for our Veterans and their families,” said Suzanne M. Klinker, Director, Bay Pines VAHCS.

“The garage is located very close to the medical center and was designed to accommodate all of our Veterans – most importantly it provides much needed parking and will have an immediate and beneficial impact when open,” she said.

A celebratory ribbon cutting event is also being planned in conjunction with activation. More information will be provided when available.

The new parking garage is one of several ongoing construction projects occurring across the Bay Pines VAHCS.
