Bereavement Memorial Services – January 25th, April 19th, and October 4th, 2009
A Memorial Service can be a powerful comforter in your time of loss. Bay Pines VA Health Care System sponsors memorial services three times a year. We honor the veterans who passed away at Bay Pines as well as those who died in community settings. During the ceremony, the names of the deceased loved ones will be read while their family and friends are invited to stand and a candle will be lit in their honor. Veterans Creative Arts Competition – February 11th, 2009
Bay Pines VA is calling for submissions for the annual Veterans Creative Arts Competition. Any veteran may submit an entry in a variety of categories such as art, dance, creative writing, music, and drama (contact us for a full listing of categories). The deadline for submissions is February 6th. If you would like to submit a performance art piece and need to schedule a recording session, please contact us by January 19th. The show will be held on February 11th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the JC Cobb building of the main hospital. The show is open to all veterans, staff, volunteers, and the general public. Valentines for Veterans Concert – February 12, 2009
As part of the National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans, a “Valentines for Veterans” concert will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 6:00 pm at the Ford Amphitheater * in Tampa. The concert will feature Little Anthony & the Imperials and The Spinners. The event is present by Help Hospitalized Veterans *, Seminole Hard Rock *, and the Florida State Fair Authority *. There will be complimentary admission and parking to the Florida State Fair after 4:00 pm that day.

Greenhouse Plant Sales, Weekly
The Greenhouse will be open every Wednesday and Friday for plant sales from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. No cash is accepted. Checks must be made out to the Dept. of Veterans Affairs.
The greenhouse is located behind the Credit Union / Domiciliary.
