PGY2 Infectious Disease Residency - Pharmacy Residency Program

Basic Requirements:

  • The applicant must have successfully completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency prior to entering the PGY2 Infectious Disease residency.
  • The applicant must possess an active pharmacist license from any state board of Pharmacy prior to entering the program.

Objectives of the Infectious Disease Residency
All residents will be required to complete and/or participate in all of the following:

  • Research project
  • Antibiotic surveillance stewardship program
  • Infectious Disease consults/rounds
  • Pharmacokinetic monitoring
  • Drug monograph or newsletter
  • HIV and Hepatitis-C clinics
  • Infection Control committee meetings
  • Teaching and mentoring pharmacy students from various pharmacy schools and colleges
  • Staffing
